William E. Farrior is a Vice-President, Director and Shareholder in the law firm
of Barrow & Grimm, P.C. A native of Montgomery, Alabama, Mr. Farrior has an undergraduate
degree from Vanderbilt University (B.A. 1971), a law degree from the University
of Alabama (J.D. 1976), and a graduate degree in taxation from Southern Methodist
University (LL.M. 1977).
Mr. Farrior practices in the areas of taxation and estate planning. He is a member
of the Tulsa County Bar Association, Oklahoma Bar Association and the American
Bar Association, where he is a member of the Taxation Section. He is the Vice-President
in 2006 for the Tulsa County Bar Association. He also is the 2006 Vice-President
of St. Simeon's Episcopal Home, Inc., and serves as a Trustee to the St. Simeon's
Foundation (2003-2006).
Mr. Farrior is admitted to practice in the Tenth Circuit, the U.S. Tax Court, the
U.S. District Court, and the Supreme Court of Oklahoma and has several reported
cases, including Beacon Realty Investments Co. v. Cantrell, 771 P.2d 602
(Okla. 1989); Mauerman v. Commissioner, 65 T.C.M. 1772 (1993), rev'd. and
rem'd. 22 F.3d 1001 (10th Cir. 1994), 69 T.C.M. 2765 (1995); and Fisher v. Commissioner,
64 T.C.M. 1670 (1992), rev'd. and rem'd. 45 F.3d 396 (10th Cir. 1995).
Mr. Farrior is married to Donna Sanders Farrior who is a mathematics professor at
the University of Tulsa. They have three children and are active members of St.
John's Episcopal Church. Mr. Farrior has served on the Vestry and the Finance
Committee. He also serves as a Trustee of the St. Simeon's Episcopal Home and Saint
Simeon's Foundation.
